ISLAMABAD: National Price Committee has declared a change in weather conditions responsible for the recent price hike in daily use goods.
Price Committee meeting was held in the chair of Finance Minister Asad Umar wherein the national price committee briefed the meeting about prices of daily use goods and its demand and supply.
Declaring the weather conditions responsible for the recent price hike in daily use goods the committee said that tomatoes, onions, chickpeas, and pulses got expensive due to weather conditions.
The meeting took measures of decreasing inflation and decided to establish a strong system predicting prices of goods with the cooperation of provincial governments for three to six months.
The huddle also decided to call national price monitoring committee meeting monthly to avoid scarcity of daily use goods and also decided to increase numbers of cheap bazaars, Sunday Bazars, fair price shops.
Finance Minister Asad Umar said at the occasion instructed that bring a prediction system regarding demand and supply of daily use goods adding that mobilize market committees more to control prices.
