RAWALPINDI: Custom court on Saturday declared model Ayan Ali a proclaimed offender in the currency smuggling case. The court also ordered to seize her assets.
As per details, custom court’s judge heard a case pertaining to the currency smuggling case.
The court in its remarks said, model Ayan Ali has been asked to appear before the court several times but she did not appear before the court.
At this, the lawyer of Ayan Ali asked the court for some more time which was refused.
The court in its remarks said, enough is enough now, we will show you the writ of the law and declared Ayan Ali a proclaimed offender and ordered to seize her assets.
The court also issued nonbailable warrants of arrest of Model Ayan Ali.
The custom court also ordered to confiscate the surety bonds by two guarantors and issued show cause notices to them.
The court then adjourned the hearing till March 15.
It is pertinent to mention here that Model Ayan Ali was arrested from Islamabad Airport in an attempt to smuggle an amount worth Rs 50 million.
She was released on bail but still absent from the hearing till past three years and three months.
