LAHORE: Pakistan’s renowned former Test cricketer, Mohammad Yousuf, congratulated star spinner Saeed Ajmal for clearing his official bowling action. He said that Saeed Ajmal was precious asset of Pakistan after Saqlain Mushtaq and the bowler should be included in World Cup squad.
Mohammad Yousuf while talking to reporters in Lahore said that bowlers like Ajmal were very few across the world. He claimed that not a single stormy bowler came forth after Saqlain Mushtaq except Saeed Ajmal.
He said that Pakistan suffered major upset by Junaid Khan who has been dropped from the WC squad, however, his replacement bowler Rahat Ali was also best in bowling.
Yousuf advised the national team to play with unity in the upcoming international event.
‘Every match between Pakistan and India is actually the game of nerves as both teams are playing under pressure,’ he said. Yousuf said that senior players have big reponsibilities on their shoulders during World Cup.
However, Yousuf declared New Zealand, South Africa and Australia ‘favourite teams’ of the World Cup.
