Moon Sighted, First Day of Ramazan on Tuesday in Pakistan

KARACHI: The holy month of Ramazan will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, declared by the Ruet E Hilal Committee.

Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman made an announcement regarding the sighting of the moon, marking the beginning of the holy month.

Preparations to offer Namaz-e-Tarawee after the Isha prayer in mosques around the country have been made.

Ramadan has already begun today on May 6 in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world as per government policy, UAE follows Saudi’s official announcement.

Australia and the US have also observed today as the first day of Ramadan.

According to a statement released by the Australia National Imams Council, after extensive consultations with Islamic leaders across Australia, the Grand Mufti of the country, Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohamad and the Australian National Imams Council declared May 6 as the first day of Ramadan there.
