Islamabad: The third wave of coronavirus proved to be more deadly as 100 more people died from the virus consecutive fifth day.
According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) as many as 5139 cases reported across the country in the last 24 hours while confirmed cases of the virus has reached 7, 15, 968.
Out of 100 deaths, 31 are those who could not breath on the ventilator after which total tally of death has reached 15, 329 while death rate has been reported 2. 1 percent while 501 people are on the ventilator.
As per the NCOC, Over 1, 06, 88, 894 people were tested for the coronavirus since the start of virus while 49,069 new tests were conducted out of which 5, 139 appeared positive while the positivity ratio of the virus remained 10. 47.
The active cases of the virus stood at 73,078.On the other hand the number of people who recovered from the virus are 6, 27, 561. As per the NCOC during the last 24 hours 1, 772 have recovered from the virus after which recovery rate from the virus is 87. 7 percent.
