Islamabad (April 03, 2018): The interior ministry had re-activated the financial task force of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) in order to collect more information on actions against terrorism in the country.
The decision was taken in the aftermath of the situation in which the Financial Action Task Force has included Pakistan in the grey list alleging the country for not doing much to halt terror operations from its soil.

According to details, the financial task force is activated and is being directed from the interior minister Ahsan Iqbal to submit a detailed report of actions carried out by the law enforcing authorities across the country against the terror elements.
The interior minister has directed the NACTA chief to approach the provinces in this regard and direct them to submit details of their work in curbing terrorism.The interior minister was briefed that a lot of work is being done on ground against the outlawed organizations and their members in the country but the reporting on the actions is far less than it should be.
Therefore, the NACTA is now directed to collect the data from all parts of the country in order to prepare a detailed version of the actions against terror activities so that the report could be presented at the international level in order to inform the world bodies of the actions taken by the Pakistani authorities against the terror outfits, their sanctuaries and facilitators.
