More Rain Likely in Many Parts of Country

Islamabad (June 22, 2017): Met Office has forecast more rain coupled with thundershower and gusty winds in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, FATA, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

In its weather forecast, Pakistan Meteorological Department said that moist currents from the Arabian Sea were penetrating into upper and central parts of the country.

A westerly wave continues to affect most upper and central parts of the country and is likely to persist till Friday.It further said that light rain and drizzle are expected at few places along the Sindh coast, whereas hot and humid weather is likely to prevail in most parts of the country.

During last 24, hours rain coupled with gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Punjab, Kashmir, Quetta, Hazara, Peshawar divisions, FATA, and Gilgit-Baltistan.Highest temperature was recorded in Nokkundi at 46°C, Turbat, Panjgur 44°C, and Shaheed Benazirabad and Dadu at 43°C.
