More Rain to Hit Karachi Today

Karachi: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted more rain in Karachi on Thursday (today).

The third spell of monsoon rain which started from Wednesday’s afternoon is predicted to continue for another day as Met Office forecasts more heavy rain today.

As per Met Office, Karachi’s temperature was recorded 26-degree centigrade in the morning, while 92 pc humidity was recorded in wind. The wind is blowing at the speed of 5 nautical miles from the south-east in the city.

Rain with wind and thunderstorm is also expected today at scattered places in Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Shaheed Benazirabad, and at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bahawalpur, Multan, D.G. Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Makran, Zhob, Kalat divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

North Karachi received most rainfall of 53 mm while Saddar, Jinnah Terminal received 40mm, Landhi 31.5 mm, Surjani Town 28.8mm and PAF Base Faisal 25mm.
