Lahore: An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday indicted Abid Malhi and Shafqat in the motorway rape incident case while accused denied the charges.
The motoreay rape case hearing was held in the camp jail Lahore. The accused were produced in the special court in the camp jail after conclusion of their 7-day judicial remand.
During course of the hearing both the accused Abid Malhi and Shafqat Mahmood denied the charges. The court summoned witnesses of the prosecution on the next hearing.
The prosecution submitted the challan against the accused on February 20, 2021 while the challan of the case contained more than 200 pages. As many as 50 witnesses have been included in the motorway rape incident.
It is pertinent to mention here that the motorway rape incident had happened in last year in the month of September. The accused had raped a woman in the front of her children on the Lahore- Sialkot motorway.
