LONDON: Founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has been released on bail, AbbTakk news reported on Wednesday.
Earlier today, MQM founder Altaf Hussain refused to answer the questions asked by the Scotland Yard Police.
As per details, the MQM founder was questioned by the Scotland Yard Police in connection to the case registered against him where he refused to answer the questions asked by the police and opted to use the no comments option on the advice of his counsel.
However, this act can go against him in the court and he can be charged in the case.
It is pertinent to mention here that the London Police has pleaded the court to extend his custodial period by another 12 hours. The plea was submitted by the Superintendent of the South Work Police station.
A day earlier, MQM founder was detained by the British Police in a case pertaining to the hate speech.
The official press release was issued by the British Police later on in which they informed that he was arrested under the charges of delivering hate speech in 2016.
The raid was conducted 15 police officers, it added.
