Karachi (February 18, 2018): The preparations for the intra-party elections announced by MQM-Pakistan faction led by Farooq Sattar are completed and the polls would begin in the afternoon to elect new party leadership.
According to MQM-P, they would elect new party structure including coordination committee members under the intra party election.
The election process would begin in both Hyderabad and Karachi at 1:00 PM and would continue till 6:00 PM. The activists were asked to come along with the copy of their national identity cards.

It was told that the activists in Karachi would cast their votes at KMC Ground PIB Colony while the party cadre in Hyderabad and others parts of the province would use these right to vote in Hyderabad.
MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar said that they would not postpone the intra-party elections and the activists and the people of the province would not accept the unconstitutional decisions and would convey the message that only they are empowered to give decisions.Sattar said that he was expelled from the post in an unconstitutional meeting and today’s polls would decide as to who is the constitutional head of the party.
“When they had removed me then how could they ask me to join them again,” he said to a query during media talk.
