“MQM, PSP will contest next election on a one symbol, one party and one manifesto,” Farooq Sattar said.

Farooq Sattar said MQM-P hosting the press conference welcomed PSP leaders and workers.

He said the main and first purpose of the conference to stop division of votes of Sindh urban areas.

“MQM will strongly oppose political torture and will tried to restore peace in the city,” he said.

“The people speaking languages other than Urdu will also be invited to join the alliance that will pave the way to establish peace in the country,” he mentioned.

“Pakistan, the province of Sindh and Karachi have been besieged in many crises. In particular, the parties active in Karachi and Sindh have felt that we not only have to address problems concerning Karachi and Sindh, but also those that concern the wider country,” Sattar said.

Today is a momentous occasion,” MQM chief Farooq Sattar said as he began speaking.

The MQM chief said, “It is our job — the leaders of both parties — to convey to our workers that we are doing this because we want a better future for the city. We want our due share in the development of this city. We want to be counted. We want jobs for our youth.”

The MQM chief urged that a united Karachi was necessary for Pakistan.

We will present the narrative of our aims and purposes after meeting each other and deciding on key points, he said.

Talking on the occasion, PSP head Mustafa Kamal said that in next election both parties will take part on a same symbol, party and manifesto.

“There are hundred of thousands people of other language- Punajbi, Sindhi, Pukhtoon and Baloch- and it will be dangerous to play Muhajir politics in the city, therefore it is essential to lay foundation of politics of unity,” he said.

“I am endorsing all the pledge mentioned by the Farooq and will strictly follow it,” he said,

“The gist of Farooq bhai’s speech is that we need one manifesto, one symbol and one party to continue our struggle for the people of Pakistan,” he asserted.

Mustafa Kamal lashed out at MQM founder Altaf Hussain, without mentioning his name, and blamed him for waging politics of hatred in the city and said that MQM- PSP have decided to bury the politics such kind of politics.

“Drunk out of his senses, he would demand the splitting of a province. The Muhajir community was the one suffering, they would be the one who would face the embarrassment of his speeches.”

“Today, we are entering this historic agreement. I thank the workers of both parties for enabling this,” Kamal said, adding that we have left our personal liking and disliking far behind; “now, we are focused on the people of this city”.

Mustafa kamal appealed the intelligence agencies to returned the disappeared 300 MQM workers and forgive them like Baloch as they pledged that they will never indulge such kind of criminal activities in future.
