KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan on strongly reacted to the statement of MQM founder Altaf Hussain urging Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak for Mohajir of Karachi, saying that any individual or group has no right to call into question the patriotism of Mujahirs by making calls for help to Modi.
In a statement, MQM-P Rabita Committee said that Muhajirs always took pride in being Pakistanis and the hearts of their children beat for the beloved motherland. “Our forefathers had not only been in the forefront of the movement for creation of Pakistan, but also sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives in this regard,” the statement added.
The statement said that all Pakistanis including Muhajirs were well aware of the fact that Modi was called and known as butcher of Gujraat. “The anti-Muslim polices of Modi are evident to everyone even today,” it added.
The committee condemned Altaf Hussain’s call and renewed the party’s commitment to foil all conspiracies against Pakistan and the Muhajir community by the enemies.
