KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has strongly reacted to PML-N leader Senator Nihal Hashnmi’s statement regarding former Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, saying that Hashmi’s party was in ‘hot waters’ due to Panama Leaks, therefore, he was issuing such irresponsible statements.
MQM-P’s spokesman Amin-ul-Haq sad that Sharif bothers had themselves were in contacts with the same person at Governor House for the last 14 years.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself boastfully announced launching of the ongoing Karachi operation from the very Governor House.
He recalled that on the occasion of Prime Minister and President, the PML-N leadership has visited MQM headquarters, then how Hashmi could declare MQM as terrorist organization.
He said that Nihal Hashmi used to meet the same person diligently when he was Governor, whom he now accused of being involved in cases of heinous nature.
The MQM-P spokesman declared Hashmi’s statement as a result of his personal issues with Ibad.
Earlier, Nihal Hashmi while referring to Ibad’s removal said said that Governor House was cleansed from MQM founder Altaf Hussain’s ‘terrorist’.
Hashmi said that the last ‘symbol of terrorism’ was erased from Governor House. The PML-N Senator said that the reign of the ‘terrorist’ organisation, which had camped at Governor House for the last 14 years, was ended. He said that now the ‘MQM’s terrorists’ were ousted from the Governor House and PML-N people would be in.
He dubbed Ibad as a ‘product of dictatorship, saying that during Musharraf’s dictatorship terrorism and targeted killings were promoted in the city. He questioned as to why the provincial government let the former governor leave the country, claiming that he was wanted in many cases of heinous nature.
