Islamabad (November 18, 2017): Chairman, Central Ruet-e-Hial Committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman has said that Pakistan cannot afford any tragedy, advising the government and leaders of Faizabad sit-in protest to sort out a middle way to resolve the standoff.
In a statement, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that the parliament has restored the oath regarding Khatm-e-Nabuat in its original form.
He added that leaders of the protesters were also satisfied over restoration of the oath. He added that their only demand was to take action against those behind the attempt to change the oath.He said that they had the realization of people sufferings due to the sit-in saying that prolonging of the protest was not in anyone’s favour.
He also urged the leaders of the protestors to try to sort out a middle path to resolve the issue. Mufti Muneed-ur-Rehman also urged the government to send a powerful delegation for dialogue with the protestors.
He urged the government not to use force against the protesters, saying that the government must not lose patience. He pointed out that PML-N and PTI had also staged sit-in in the past.
