KARACHI: The chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah directed on Monday to concern authorities to take concrete measure to avoid rain-related losses after the rain.
He made this direction while chairing Sindh cabinet meeting in Karachi. The meeting contemplated the steps and reviewed the situation after overnight thunderstorm and rain in Karachi.
The minister for local bodies Saeed Ghani briefed the cabinet in this connection.
Saeed Ghani told the meeting that the payments to solid waste management have been stopped on the directives of the water commission, therefore the staff was not ready to work due to non-payment of their salaries.
CM directed the minister to use each resource to make sure cleanliness in the city.
Meeting has formed a three-member committee comprised of ministers Nasir Shah, Imtiaz Sheikh and Murtaza Wahab to make amendments in persons act 2018.
The provincial cabinet has also given go head for the auction of old vehicles.
