KARACHI: Strongly reacting to the house arrest of MPA Faryal Talpur by National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah termed it another example of political victimization.
Addressing a post-budget press conference in Karachi Sindh CM condemned the arrest of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari on federal budget day and his sister Faryal Talpur on day of the provincial budget.
“PPP will not come under the threats of anyone; PTI govt’s incompetence is punishing innocent masses,” he added.
Murad Ali Shah said that the federal government has cut down the provincial budget by 34billion rupees in just four days.
The PPP leader said: “On 30th May federation wrote a letter providing Rs666billion which was reduced to Rs632billion after four days. On a budget day, it was known that Sindh will get Rs631billion.”
