MIANWALI: The body of anchorperson Mureed Abbas who was shot by his business partner on Tuesday night will be shifted to his hometown Mianwali in a short while.
People have begun gathering at the residence of Mureed’s famil in Mianwali to condole with the bereaved family.
His body will be first moved to Islamabad, then to Mianwali where he will be laid to rest in Piplan’s graveyard.
Mureed Abbas was gunned down on Tuesday night in Defence area of Karachi in Khayaban-e-Bukhari area.
As per her wife, Zara Abbas, who is currently associated with AbbTakk News, Atif owed Mureed Rs5 million in their tyre business for which he called her husband at his office.
Two FIRs have been filed in this regard. One was filed with murdered anchor’s wife Zara Abbas as a claimant under the section of murder as case number 382, SSP South said.
He added that the other was filed over alleged killer Atif Zaman’s suicide attempt with the state as claimant.
