ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mushahid Ullah Khan and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Muhammad Ateeq Shaikh swore at each other in the Senate session on Friday.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani chaired the session as the PML-N and MQM-P senators exchanged harsh words. Mushahid Ullah Khan said Ateeq Shaikh is interrupting during his speech.
Ateeq Shaikh is still thinking that MQM is in power, he said. Ateeq Shaikh said Mushahid Ullah abused him to which the PML-N leader replied that he will let him know what real abusing is and challenged him to lodge an FIR against him.
Mushahid Ullah Khan also warned Ateeq Shaikh that he will see him outside the session.
Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Raja Zafar-ul-Haq complained that the house is not functioning according to the rules. Senator Babar Awan said proceedings cannot be conducted in such atmosphere.
