Quetta (July 17, 2017): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazlur Rahman’s Usman Badeni has won the by-poll held in NA-260 Constituency Noshki, Balochistan yesterday according to unofficial unconfirmed results of all the 407 polling stations. He secured 43,969 votes.
BNP’s candidate Sardar Bahadur Mengal was the runner-up with 37,786 votes while Pashtwnakhwa Milli Awami Party’s PkMAP) Jamal Tarakai was third with 20,169 votes.
The seat was left vacant after PkMAP’s MNA Abdul Raheem Mandokhel.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), a total of 407 polling stations were established in the constituency.
A total of 320 polling stations were declared the most sensitive, 50 sensitive while 37 polling stations were declared normal.
Out of 407 polling stations, 167 have been allocated for men, 131 for women while 108 polling stations have been established for both men and women. A total of 993 polling booths have also been established in the constituency including 571 from men, 422 for women. As many as 407 presiding offices, 814 assistant presiding officers have been deployed in the polling booths.
There were 460,202 registered voters in the constituency- 2,74,367 men and 1,85,835 women.
