ISLAMABAD: The PTI leader Asad Umar chaired a meeting of the national assembly finance standing committee while the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation briefed the committee over the loan program.
Addressing to the committee meeting, the former finance minister said that committee members expressed their concerns over the IMF program as IMF indicated FBR revenue being increased.
IMF has expressed complete satisfaction over the program as reform in the energy sector were also came under discussion.
The committee members have raised the rapid increase in inflation and also expressed reservation on FATF recommendations.
Committee member Qaisar Sheikh said that the loan program given by IMF could not get success as it was unrealistic as the budget deficit reached at 8.9 per cent.
