ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved eight inquiries and two investigations in mega corruption cases.
The decision was taken by the executive board meeting presided over by Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal in Islamabad today (Wednesday).
According to details, the members have approved corruption inquiries against former DG Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Manzoor Qadir and ex-Sindh Chief Minister Liaquat Jatoi.
The executive board has approved the inquiries against the officials of Pakistan Railways and Revenue department and officials of Port Trust. Board has also approved the inquire against the department of Revenue Sindh North Nazimabad central and others.
The meeting has also agreed to close the investigation against Zia-ud-Din Hospital administration, land utilization department of Sindh, Karachi Metropolitan department of parking and encroachment employees.
Meanwhile, NAB chairman said that taking mega-money laundering cases to their logical end is first priority of the bureau.
He also mentioned that NAB officials considered the eradication of corruption their national duty as NAB believes in corruption-free Pakistan.
