NAB Arrests Qaisar Abbas In Nandipur Corruption Case

Lahore (August 31, 2018): National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday has arrested Qaisar Abbas in Nandipur power project corruption scandal.

According to details, NAB has made an important development in Nandipur power project corruption case, WAPDA employ Qaiser Abbas allegedly sold furnace oil worth Rs 22 million.NAB has sought 15 day physical remand of Qaisar Abbas.

Earlier in June National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal ordered an investigation into alleged corruption in Nandipur power project.

The accountability bureau directed the probe in light of a Supreme Court order to examine corruption allegations with reference to the findings of the one-man commission of former Justice Rehmat Hussain Jafri on the Nandipur power project.As per a notification issued by the anti-graft watchdog, the NAB chairman has asked director general NAB Lahore to conduct the investigation.
