NAB Baluchistan Arrests Four In Corruption Charges

QUETTA: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Baluchistan bureau on Wednesday arrested four persons including employees of the mineral department and an owner of a coal company after a revelation of corruption of worth million incurred to the national exchequer by the officers and employees of the mineral department.

The NAB Baluchistan has arrested superintendent of mineral department Imtiaz Hussain Jamali, LDC of FBR Zain Jibran, owner of coal company Malik Asim Akber Khan and Bashir Muhammad from different localities of the city in the charges of corruption.

The arrested were accused of corruption and incurred heavy losses to the national exchequer while more arrests are expected.

According to sources, when the anti-graft body on basis of source report started an investigation against the Muslim Coal Company then after detail review of government facts and figures it revealed that the Muslim Coal company owner Malik Asim Akber Khan without getting a lease from the mineral department sold illegal coal worth of millions of rupees after exploring in the year 2017-2018.

Moreover, a major character in the mineral department corruption case LDC of FBR, Zain Jibran signed an illegal agreement with coal companies including the Muslim Coal Company.

After the revelation of the corruption worth millions, the NAB Baluchistan has started tightening nose against other corrupt elements while more arrests are expected in this regard.
