RAWALPINDI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has called the former minister and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) tomorrow in alleged corruption in the Noorawal sports city project.
The anti-graft body has called the former interior minister to its Rawalpindi office while he has been served the notice to appear before the NAB.
Ahsan Iqbal has been alleged of incurring a loss of six billion to the national exchequer in construction of sports city project in his home town Noorawal.
In this connection, the anti-corruption body sources said that Ahsan Iqbal by using his powers illegally appointed ex-dg sports board Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Gunjera as the project director of Noorowal sports city project in violation of rules and regulations after his retirement.
The NAB will probe the matter in this regard.
