ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted documents in the banking court in Karachi on Monday for transferring money laundering case to Rawalpindi.
The anti-corruption watchdog officials submitted the documents containing orders of NAB Chairman Justice Retd. Javed Iqbal while the banking court also issued notices to the defence lawyers for hearing on February 20.
The document stated that NAB Chairman approved transfer of money laundering case under NAB Ordinance Act 16-A. The Supreme Court (SC) had ordered NAB to investigate money laundering case while the NAB court will transfer the case to Rawalpindi.
Following the NAB chairman’s plea, the banking court issued notices to former president Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur and other accused for February 20.
