LAHORE: An accountability court in Lahore will hold hearing of Paragon City housing scandal while Khawaja brothers will also be presented before the court on Saturday.
Strict security arrangements were made in and outside the accountability court’s building.
Former railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique are likely to face another extension in physical remand today.
Earlier on January 26, an accountability court in Lahore on Saturday accepted the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) plea and extended the physical remand of PML-N leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique ending February 2 (today).
Saad and Salman Rafique were taken into custody by the anti-corruption watchdog on December 11 last year after their request for bail was turned down by the Lahore High Court. Since then, their remand has been extended multiple times.
