ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday has formed a joint investigation team (JIT) for impartial and transparent investigation of sugar subsidy.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, NAB spokesperson said that the team would comprise of experienced and hardworking officers of NAB Rawalpindi. The team will comprise of two investigative officers, a financial expert and a legal council expert.
The NAB team under the leadership of DG NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Mangi will also include experts with experience in the sugar industry, forensic experts, case officers, additional directors and relevant directors.
The NAB Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Prosecutor General Accountability and DG Operations will review the report every month.
The JIT will be able to obtain full details of the sugar subsidy from all the provinces for a transparent investigation. The will also be able to take legal, financial and audit reports of companies related to the SECP.
