NAB Given Respite To Submit Documents In Kamran Michael’s Case

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday gave respite to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for submitting documents till May 21 in a case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Kamran Michael.

The court heard on a review petition filed by Kamran Michael against his arrest.

As the hearing commenced, PML-N stalwart’s counsel apprised SHC that he has filed the petition after making certain amendments in the previous one.

“Accountability court had sent Kamran Michael to jail on remand on illegal grounds. Kamran Michael’s arrest and court remand must be declared outlawed”, the petition read.

The court then inquired Investigation officer regarding possession of his content against the suspect.
To this, the officer said he had few documents but more time will be needed to get more.

On this occasion, NAB Prosecutor also pitched in, asking the court to give hand respite till the month of Ramadan.

The court then approved the plea of Anti-graft watchdog, adjourning the case till May 21.
