ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has produced Pakistan Peoples Party leader and sister of Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur before an Accountability Court as her remand comes to an end, AbbTakk News reported on Monday.
An accountability court on Saturday granted NAB a nine-day physical remand of PPP leader Faryal Talpur in the fake bank accounts case.
The accountability watchdog brought Talpur to the court amid strict security. During the hearing, the accountability court granted NAB physical remand of the PPP leader till June 24.
Talpur’s arrest followed on the heels of her brother, former president Asif Ali Zardari being taken into custody by the anti-graft body earlier past week.
Following her arrest, she was shifted to her Islamabad residence which has been declared a sub-jail to incarcerate her. A team of doctors conducted a medical examination of Talpur at the sub-jail and declared her fit.
According to NAB’s declaration, Faryal Talpur dignity is the topmost priority while members of Sindh Assembly have recorded the protest over her arrest.
