LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has produced Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and brothers Khawaja Saad Rafique and Salman Rafique before Accountability Court of Lahore in Paragon Housing Scandal case.
On April 04, AC extended judicial remand of both under-arrest Khawaja brothers for 14 days, ordering them to appear before the court on April 18, which is today.
In the hearing held on April 04, Judge Najmul Hasan took up the case.
During the course of proceedings, he inquired NAB prosecutor regarding progress achieved in the probe of the case.
NAB prosecutor responded that the reference was in scrutiny stages and the investigation was on the verge of completion.
To this, the court affirmed that NAB cannot hold any suspect in its custody for an indefinite period.
It is to be noted that stringent security measures were taken on the occasion of the appearance of both Khawaja brothers at the court.
PML-N workers, who reached outside the court showing their support for the party stalwarts, exchanged barbs with security officials when prohibited to enter the premises of Accountability Court.
