Islamabad(February 28, 2018): NAB Rawalpindi has started interrogation against CDA officers and one private company on the allotment of the plot for Grand Hayat Hotel at Sharah e Dastoor.
According to the reports, NAB Rawalpindi has started interrogations against the illegitimate use of authority to allot plot for Grand Hayat Hotel. An investigation will be conducted against the former officers and chairman of CDA Board. NAB will also summon directors of the company which has alotted with the plot if needed.
A plot at Sharah e Dastoor allotted for Grand Hayat Hotel, however, Hotel started a project of luxury flats instead while prominent politicians, businessmen and Government officers invested already.
Earlier, Islamabad High Court had stopped the construction of the flats whereas, FIA had already made inquiry of the issue of allotment of the plot.
DG NAB Rawalpindi, Irfan Naeem said that NAB is determined to end corruption from Pakistan while following the policy of Accountability for all.
Chairman NAB Justice(R) Javed Iqbal has taken notice of the matter and ordered to start a formal investigation.
