ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday recommended the filing of reference in Paragon Society case against accused Khawaja Saad Rafique, his brother Salman Rafique and Nadeem Zia.
The decision was made in anti-graft watchdog meeting presided over by Director General NAB Lahore in provincial headquarter.
According to sources, during the meeting giving the final shape to Paragon Society case meeting recommended reference and nominated Khawaja Saad Rafique, his brother Salman Rafique and Nadeem Zia main accused.
All three accused were nominated in allegations of forging with people and financial irregularities.
Sources said that in 2003 Amin Butt and Nadeem Zia have formed Air Avenue company, however, it later transferred to Paragon City which is yet not registered to LDA.
The accused Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique bought 20 developed plots of two Kenal each in cost of giving 50 Kenal while both had transferred Rs 58 million and Rs 39 million from company’s account illegally.
According to NAB sources, the complaints of more than 540 million rupees against both brothers have been received so far.
NAB had arrested Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique on December 18 while Qaisar Amin Butt was arrested in November, however third accused Nadeem Zia still at large.
