ISLAMABAD: The chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) convened a high-level meeting to review the performance of the anti-graft watchdog in the year 2019.
According to the NAB spokesperson, anti-graft body has recovered plundered money worth Rs 178 billion and filed over 600 references.
Briefing the meeting, DG Operations Zahir Shah told that in 2019 NAB has received 51,591 complaints while NAB has taken action on 46,123 complaints as per law while action being taken on 13,299 complaints. He further apprised that NAB has completed the inquiries in 574 corruption cases.
“Investigations being conducted on 859 inquiries while 206 corruption references have been filed in 2019,” the spokesperson said.
