Islamabad (November 16, 2017): Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the two assets of him NAB sought to freeze were of charitable in nature.
In a statement issue here Dar said that the NAB action would be tantamount to handicap the charitable organisation, which is running orphanage.

The minister said that the Holiday Park and plot on Raiwind Road were property of Ali Hijviri Trust and were owned by the Trust since 2000. He added that some 92 orphan children were living in the 3-storey building on the plot.
He added that the building on MM Alam Road, which is owned by the Trust, was rented out in 2003.
He maintained that the proceeds from the rent of the building was spent on the up-bringing of the orphans of Saya Orphanage being run by the Ali Hijviri Trust.
Dar said that seizure of the properties and freezing their account would renders the charity handicapped.
