NAB Submits Report About Hussain, Hassan Properties in AC

Islamabad (October 31, 2017): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted a report in accountability court Islamabad regarding the properties of Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz, the son of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

As the accountability court has ordered NAB to start the process of declaring the two accused in NAB reference  proclaimed offender  for their failure to appear before the court despite the issuance of their non-bailable warrants for arrest, the NAB has started process for attaching the properties of the accused.

After declaring the accused proclaimed offender, their properties would be attached and their red warrant would be issued.The NAB in its report said that the both the accused had shares in six companies. Upon this the accountability court directed SECP to freeze the shares of the accused in the companies.

The court then adjourned hearing of the case till Nov 14, 2017.On October 11 , NAB officials pasted copies of the notice at the Model Town and Jati Umra residences of the Sharif family. The former prime minister’s sons are required to appear before the trial court within 30 days, starting from Oct 11, otherwise they would be declared proclaimed offenders and their properties would be attached.On Oct 9, the accountability court in Islamabad ordered NAB to initiate the process of declaring the former premier’s sons POs, as they have consistently skipped the court’s proceedings in three graft references pertaining to their Park Lane flats and the establishment of offshore companies. Mr Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law retired Capt Muhammad Safdar will be indicted on Oct 13.
