NAB Summons Imran In Helicopter Case Today     

Peshawar (August 07, 2018): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan Today (Tuesday) in an ongoing inquiry against his alleged misuse of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s helicopters.

The summons issued on Friday stated, “Imran used two helicopters belonging to the KP government for a total of 74 hours. Statements of [then] KP CM Pervez Khattak and aviation authorities in the case have been recorded.”

The PTI chairman who is expected to the party’s candidate for the office of Prime Minister in the newly elected National Assembly is accused of illegally using a Mi-17 and an Ecureuil helicopter belonging to the KP government, causing a loss of Rs2.1 million to the national exchequer.

Earlier on July 18, Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Imran Khan excused from appearing before NAB in Helicopter Scandal.

According to the details, the junior advocate of Babar Awan submitted the plea in the NAB on behalf of Imran Khan, stating that he is busy in the election campaign.

Imran Khan is accused of illegally using the KP helicopters for 74 hours that caused loss of Rs. 2107181 to the national exchequer.
