NAB Directs Govt Entities To Submit Details of Contracts

Islamabad (February 13, 2018): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has directed  all the federal and provincial public sector entities to submit details of contracts costing over 500 million rupees.

The decision was taken in anti-graft watchdog high level meeting presided over by chairman Justice retired Javed Iqbal as it also discussed NAB’s awareness and prevention division performance.

The chairman NAB taking the notice of the governments’ department for not submitting of details of contracts more than 500 million rupees ordered the issuance of notice for submission of details.

“All the Director Generals of NAB make sure the scrutiny of public sector departments contracts and directed the departments which reluctant to submit details action must be taken against them,” Chairman said.He also directed the NAB officials to work hard with more concentration, using all abilities and merit to promote transparency.
