ISLAMABAD: The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) on Tuesday has signed a Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) amongst 14 Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) to combat terrorism financing.
According to details, the agencies include NAB, FIA, FBR, FMU, ANF and all the Provincial counter terrorism departments.
The main objectives of the MoU are to enhance inter-agency cooperation, coordination and exchange of information to facilitate timely and effective detection, analysis and probe of cases relating to money laundering.
The MoU will facilitate the sharing of financial intelligence amongst FMU, LEAs and Intelligence Agencies.
According to NACTA statement, the MoU would help to strengthen its cooperation with all law enforcement agencies.
