KARACHI: Former Karachi mayor Naimatullah Khan funeral prayers will be offered today.
He was died yesterday in the age of 89 years due to prolonged illness.
Naimat Ullah Khan was leader of the religious party Jamat-e-Islami when he took office of the mayor back in 2001 he left his party position as a Nazim-e City while he remained city Nazim from 2001 to 2005.
According to JI spokesperson, his funeral prayers will be offered today (Wednesday) in Karachi.
Naimatullah Khan’s daughter and son are currently out of the country. His funeral prayers will be offered after they reach Pakistan, confirmed JI spokesperson in a statement.
Naimthullah Khan was born 1 October 1930 Ajmer, Rajasthan, British India.
He graduated from Punjab University with a Masters in Journalism and a Law Degree from Karachi University.
He is a lawyer by profession. He is the chairman of the biggest NGO of Pakistan, Alkhidmat Foundation.
