ISLAMABAD: Two former federal ministers Naveed Qamar and Khwaja Asif have become witnesses of prosecution in the nandipur power project reference against former premier Raja Pervez Ashraf and ex-law minister Baber Awan.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday submitted a list of prosecution witnesses in the accountability court hearing the nandipur power project reference which includes Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Naveed Qamar and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif.
The NAB has placed Naveed Qamar and Khawaja Asif on 29th and 30th position in the witnesses list respectively. Besides that ministries of power and law officers and three investigations officers of the NAB also are included in the witnesses list.
The AC has summoned a section officer of the ministry of power Muhammad Naeem on March 19 to record his statement in the reference.
It is pertinent to mention that the AC has indicted seven persons in the reference including Raja Pervez Ashraf and Baber Awan.
