LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Thursday allowed party workers to stage protest against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
According to sources, while talking to co-party leaders during his meeting in Jail the former prime minister directed to launch a campaign against the incumbent government after the Eid-ul-Fitr.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will conduct party meetings in the capital as well as in the provinces.
During the meeting with co-party workers in jail, Nawaz said after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) the dollar hike is alarming. Prices of petrol, diesel and fertilizer are already talking to the sky.
He directed his party leaders to speed up their mass contact campaign at the local level and re-organize the party on union council level so the party can become a voice of the masses.
Nawaz directed Ahsan Iqbal to take up the lead role in mass contact campaign.
The visiting leaders of the PML-N also inquired about the health of the former premier and told them he is fine and Ramazan is passing smoothly.
It is pertinent to mention here that every Thursday is fixed for meetings of the former premier in Jail.
