LAHORE: Detained former premier Nawaz Sharif on Friday has said that he request all of his party workers to refrain from protesting on Pakistan and celebrate the day with full patriotism.
He said, “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is a responsible political party which always respected the laws of the country rather than harming it.”
“I urge my party workers to stop planning for any protest on that auspicious occasion and celebrate it with full patriotic zeal and courage and pray for the country’s well-being,” he added.
“I respect your undying love and devotion for me and the party but request you to trust the almighty Allah,” he further added.
“And avoid planning any such activity without the party’s consent,” he concluded.
