Nawaz, Maryam Reach Islamabad To Appear Before AC        

Islamabad (February 15, 2018): Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz on Thursday reached Islamabad from Lahore to appear before the accountability court.

The two had to appear before an accountability court headed by Judge Muhammad Bashir in a case filed by National Accountability Bureau. They arrived the capital city via a special plane from Lahore to Islamabad.

The former premier would also meet with party leaders, ministers and also consult them over the appearing before accountability court during his stay in Punjab House.On Wednesday, Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) approved supplementary references to be filed in accountability court against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Al Azizia and Flagship references.

According to sources, new evidences against Nawaz Sharif, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz  are part of interim references and details of new off shore companies of Hassan and Hussain are also part of it.

The new evidences are made part of interim reference in Al Azizia case.

The sources further said that NAB would file both the interim references in accountability court today.NAB Approves Two Interim References Against SharifRequest to Place Sharif’s names on ECL

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday asked the Interior Ministry to place the names of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (r) Safdar on the Exit-Control List.

NAB wrote a letter to the Interior Ministry in which it recommended that the names of Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif and Captain (r) Safdar to be placed on the ECL as it voiced fears that the suspects could travel outside the country.

This comes in the wake of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz’s appeal to the court to grant them immunity from appearing at hearings since Kulsoom Nawaz was ill and was about to undergo important tests in London.
