LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived at Doha Airport in an air ambulance, from where he will leave for London after a short stay, AbbTakk News reported.
Nawaz’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan tweeted: “The Air Ambulance with Former PM #NawazSharif onboard landed in Doha, Qatar; will depart shortly after refueling and air & [and] medical crew change for London, UK.”

Nawaz is accompanied by his brother Shehbaz Sharif and Dr Adnan.
An intensive care unit and an operation theatre have been set up inside an air ambulance, which arrived from Doha early morning at Lahore airport’s Haj Terminal, while a team of doctors and paramedics are also on board.
It is pertinent to mention that the former premier will go to Boston after going through a detailed checkup in London.
Earlier, before Nawaz’s departure, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that doctors completed a medical examination of Nawaz ahead of his departure and he was administered high doses of steroids and medicines to ensure that his condition remains stable during travel.
