Nawaz Sharif to Return Pakistan on Oct 21 to Appear Before AC

Islamabad (October 19, 2017): The deposed prime minister and PML-N president Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on October 21 to appear before the accountability Court, which has indicted him in Avenfield and Al-Azizia steel mill references, filed by the National Accountability Court (NAB) in light of Apex curt verdict of July 28.

According to details, ousted PM will leave London for Pakistan on October 21 through PK-758 and land in Pakistan on October 22.

He will reach Lahore at 4:40am on October 22.

Nawaz reached London on October 4 to spend time with his wife Kulsoom who is undergoing treatment for throat cancer.

In the meantime, the former prime minister missed three hearings of Supreme Court-directed corruption cases against him in an accountability court.

Today, Nawaz was indicted in two corruption references whereas he is expected to be indicted in the third reference tomorrow.

Accountability Court has summoned him on October 26 in NAB Reference.

Earlier in the day the accountability court hearing NAB references against the Sharif family indicted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (retd) Safder were indicted in NAB reference over their London properties.Nawaz, Maryam, Safder Indicted in Avenfield ReferenceThe judge after rejecting separate applications filed by Nawaz Sharif’s counsel and counsel of Maryam and Safder for suspending the proceedings on the reference started process to indict the accused in the references.

Later the Accountability Court hearing NAB references against Sharif family indicted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in another NAB reference, Al-Azizia Steel Mills Reference. 

Earlier, the court indicted Nawaz along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif and son-in-Law Capt (retd) Safder in Avenfield Reference. Accused pleaded not guilty and opted to contest the charges.
