Islamabad: A non-bailable warrant has been issued for Nawaz Sharif in reference to getting vehicles from Tosha Khana of the fake account case.
Accountability Court (AC) Judge Asghar Ali heard the Tosha Khana reference while ex-premier Yousuf Raza Gillani and Abdul Ghani Majeed appeared before the court while Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif were not in attendance.
Farooq H Nayaq, the counsel of Asif Zardari filed an exemption petition from an appearance on the ground of the coronavirus and his bad health.
To which, the Judge inquired on which address Zardari gave you the power of attorney with signature as addresses we sent him summon responded that he is not available on the address. To which Farooq H Nayak provided his client to present Karachi’s address.
The judge remarked that let see what happens on this address once when the NAB prosecutor Sardar Muzzafar Abbassi insisted the court issue a non-bailable arrest warrant instead of a summons to Asif Zardari.
The NAB prosecutor insisted to issue a non-bailable warrant for ex-premier Nawaz Sharif and the Judge accepted the NAB prosecutor’s request and issued non-bailable arrest warrants over his continuous absence from the court.
In its order, the court ordered compliance of the warrant through Pakistan foreign office in the UK, along with the court issued summon letter to Asif Zardari on his Bilawal House Karachi address while the court asked response from the NAB on Yousuf Raza Gillani petition seeking constant exemption from the appearance while the hearing adjourned till June 30.
