Lahore (August 18, 2017): Former President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday said that Parliament was the proper forum for the grand national dialogue.
According to the details, former president and Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has advised ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif to accept the Supreme Court’s verdict.
Speaking to journalists informally here on Friday, Zardari questioned why Nawaz Sharif was not accepting the verdict announced by the apex court in Panama Papers case.
Zardari said that grand national dialogue was not held only to save an individual.

He said that Nawaz Sharif had gone to Saudi Arabia after striking a deal with General Pervez Musharraf. “I faced and braved arrests and imprisonment not Nawaz Sharif. I have always stood by political forces and tried to get all political forces them united,” he remarked.I an informal chat with journalists at Bilawal House Lahore, Zardari further said that Raza Rabbani was an independent intellectual and Chairman Senate. “What Aitzaz says is his voice,” he added.
He revealed that when he intended to meet Nawaz Sharif for offering condolence over the death of his brother, he refused to meet him just to appease undemocratic forces.
Zardari said that Nawaz Sharif’s approach and thinking was very dangerous. He said that had he not accepted 2013’s elections, there would have been a major crisis in the country.
