Islamabad: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Monday issued an alert for stormy rains in various areas of the country from Wednesday.
Owing to the alert of the stormy rains all the relevant institutions have been instructed.
Land sliding is feared due to heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Galliyat, Azad Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan.
In most of the areas, ponds, nullahs, high tide in rivers and low lying areas are feared to be inundated.
The spokesman of NDMA has instructed to relevant institutions to take advance measures to ensure avoidance of human and financial losses in expected situation..

All related institutions should ensure advance presence of machinery and staff , dewatering pumps.
The NDMA spokesman added that people of low lying areas be informed emergency services regarding the emergency situation immediately.
