Neelum Valley Bridge Collapse: 11 Bodies of Tourists Recovered

Neelum Valley(May 13, 2018): Eleven bodies have been fished out of tourists on Sunday, who have swept away when a bridge collapsed in Neelum Valley, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the details, police officials said bridge located in Nala Jargan collapsed when around 25 tourists stopped to take pictures on it.

An operation is underway to rescue the tourists, with authorities have recovered 11 bodies and rescued till now, personnel of the Pakistan Army are also assisting in the operation. However, the extremely cold water of the stream and its strong current are hampering efforts to recover the persons.

Locals said the victims were likely students of two medical colleges from Lahore and Faisalabad who were touring the scenic valley.
